THE PERSON BEHIND THE NAME
I was born and raised in New Zealand and am proud to be a Kiwi. I was around when School C was the qualification of the day achieving passes in English, Math and Typing and left school mid-way through my sixth form year to take on a position in a law firm as a Junior (doing bankings, making the tea, running errands and answering phones). Within eighteen months I had progressed into a word processing position with that firm and later moved on to another law firm as a legal secretary. Over the next 20 years I took short breaks from work to have my two children, returning each time to the same legal firm. Just after the turn of the century I completed an online course in HTML (website code). Once I had completed the course I took a leap of faith, leaving my secretarial job to become self employed creating websites. It didn’t take long before I found that my website clients usually also needed stationery and other printed items to go with their shiny new website. So once again I found myself upskilling and began providing graphic design to go with the website service. Today I focus predominantly on graphic design services, transcribing, proof reading and editing.
